Wheelchair User's

The old and the young with disabilities live a longer and happier life and have a better quality of life in their own homes. Therefore, equipping your home helps make the day-to-day obstacles that disabled people have to contend with when they are confined to a wheelchair much easier and give them more freedom.

There are three different ways to make your residental home wheelchair accessible for the different floor levels.

One way is to install a stair lift. A stair lift is the least expensive and is easy to install in most homes. The disadvantage is that you must be able to transfer from your wheelchair to the stair lift and from the stair lift to another wheelchair. Also, you will need an extra wheel chair for each of the different floor levels.

Inclined Platform

Another way is to install an inclined platform lift. A platform lift will cost more than a stair lift. The advantage of a platform lift is that you do not have to transfer from your wheelchair. However, they are more difficult to install.

Elevator

The third way is to install an elevator. A elevator is the most expensive way. The advantage of an elevator is that most of them are large enough to accommodate a wheelchair or electric scooter and they provide access to different floor levels.
